Hiring: Junior Pastry Chef

We are seeking a talented and creative Junior Pastry Chef to join our team. As our Junior Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for crafting delicious pastries, desserts, and baked goods that delight our customers. You will work closely with the our Head Chef to develop and execute our pastry menu, ensuring high-quality offerings that align with our standards.

Location(s): Makati

Salary: PHP 17,000-22,000 per month


  • Designing and preparing a variety of pastries, desserts, and baked goods, including cakes, cookies, tarts, and bread.

  • Developing new recipes and innovative pastry creations that showcase seasonal ingredients and align with our cafe's culinary concept.

  • Ensuring consistency and quality in all pastry offerings, following established recipes and procedures.

  • Managing inventory levels for pastry ingredients and supplies, placing orders as needed to maintain adequate stock levels.

  • Maintaining a clean and organized pastry kitchen, adhering to food safety and sanitation standards at all times.

  • Training and supervising pastry kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient operations.

  • Collaborating with the front-of-house team to coordinate pastry offerings with daily specials and promotions.

  • Staying informed about industry trends and developments in pastry techniques, ingredients, and equipment.

  • Assisting with menu planning and costing, as well as special events and catering projects as required.

  • Contributing to a positive and collaborative work environment, fostering teamwork and communication among kitchen staff.

    Ideal Candidates:
    • Proven experience working as a Pastry Chef or in a similar role, preferably in a cafe or restaurant setting.

    • Culinary degree or equivalent certification from a recognized culinary institution.

    • Strong knowledge of pastry techniques, ingredients, and baking principles.

    • Creativity and passion for pastry arts, with a keen eye for detail and presentation.

    • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple tasks and priorities.

    • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines consistently.

    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues.

    • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations, with a commitment to maintaining a clean and safe work environment.

    • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by the needs of the business.

    • Positive attitude, team player mentality, and a genuine passion for delivering exceptional culinary experiences to our customers.
